There are plenty of horses with lively chances when it comes to the bet365 Handicap Chase at Doncaster Racecourse. Cruz Control was disappointing at Aintree last time out, with the horse struggling over two miles and four furlongs. Previously to this, there was a fourth-placed finish in the Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase at Punchestown.
Gaboriot is an eight-year-old who could be well handicapped for this race, with Henry Brooke riding a runner who was third out of thirteen horses at Aintree last time out. Previously to this, there were successes at Cartmel and Cheltenham, with the latter victory coming over four miles, so the horse should be able to get the trip.
Forward Plan could be a solid performer for trainer Anthony Honeyball, with a fourth-placed finish out of ten runners coming at Wincanton in November. The horse was thirty lengths behind Al Dancer on that occasion, with that coming after a third-placed finish at Aintree in the William Hill Handicap Chase.
Chasing Fire was seventh last time out, with Olly Murphy saddling a seven-year-old who achieved a midfield finish at Cheltenham towards the end of October. Previously to this, there was a success at Perth where the runner was able to achieve a three-length victory as the 15/8 favourite, with Does He Know the other interesting contender in the race.
