Marhaba The Champ has the potential of living up to his name by scoring a victory in this Epsom race. Kevin Ryan will have high hopes of this four-year-old and the horse was able to score a success in the Knights Solicitor Handicap over one mile, two and a half furlongs. That was on good to firm ground and the going should be similar for this encounter at Epsom Downs.

However, the racing betting odds suggest a wide open encounter and Honiton has to stand a decent chance. John & Thady Gosden’s runner won a handicap race at Newmarket in May when obliging at betting odds of 11/2. That was over one mile and two furlongs, with the trip therefore sure to be no problem for this encounter on Friday’s racecard.

Caius Chorister’s last run took place at Epsom and it was a second-placed finish out of eight runners, with David Menuisier having hopes that his charge can go one better this time around.
