2024 Future Champions Novice Hurdle Tips
There could be a big field lining up in the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle, with this Grade 1 encounter taking place at Leopardstown over two miles. Salvator Mundi is one of the younger runners in the field, although there was a success for the four-year-old at Tipperary back in May and he’s been installed as favourite here.
Bleu De Vassy has been successful on two occasions this season, with Gordon Elliott saddling a five-year-old who scored at Navan in mid-November. That was a five length success in a Grade Three encounter, with this coming after a success at Clonmel whoch means that the talented runner is aiming for a fourth win on the bounce.
Irancy is another Willie Mullins-trained runner and the six-year-old was successful last time out, with the horse beating seventeen other rivals at Punchestown. The 10/11 favourite was able to oblige by nine lengths, with the horse previously performing really well in a Maiden Hurdle when being sent off at big odds of 20/1.
Romeo Coolio could be an each-way bet worth having, with Gordon Elliott training a runner who has impressed this season. The five-year-old was first and second in the two outings this season, with a victory coming in a big field at the beginning of November. That came before a second-placed finish where the horse was beaten as the 1/2 favourite.

Down Memory Lane has racked up a succession of wins and there could be more to come from the five-year-old when he lines up at Leopardstown Racecourse. There was an impressive triumph at Down Royal in November, with the horse fending off eighteen rivals, with the Gordon Elliott-trained charge able to secure a three length victory on that occasion.
Willie Mullins has Daddy Long Legs and the four-year-old was able to score at Thurles at the end of November, with the horse claiming a thirteen-length win as the 11/8 favourite and there could be more to come from a runner who is slightly shorter in the betting than Firefox, with the latter another Elliott horse who has to have solid each-way claims.
It’s For Me runs for Mullins and the five-year-old was able to score against a big field of runners at Punchestown Racecourse, with the horse obliging as the 8/13 favourite when winning a Maiden Hurdle in the middle of November. Ballyburn comes from the same stable and was able to finish runner-up at Fairyhouse when second to Firefox.
Farren Glory was able to record back to back victories, with the six-year-old landing a win at Clonmel in early November before obliging in a more competitive tussle at Fairyhouse in early December. Ile Atlantique and Mirazur West are yet more horses from the Mullins stable and we’re expecting this trainer to have a strong hand for the race.
