2024 Long Distance Novice Chase Betting Odds at Leopardstown racecourse

Thursday, 26 December 2024

There are several horses trading at single figure betting odds when it comes to Leopardstown’s Long Distance Novice Chase, with Impaire Et Passe having won on his previous three outings. Willie Mullins trains a runner who was successful on his seasonal debut, with Croke Park also an interesting contender.

Gordon Elliott was able to land back to back successes with this runner this season, with the same handler having multiple horses in the field. Better Days Ahead was able to score on his previous outing, with Stellar Story and Search For Glory able to be successful. Slade Steel could also go well for trainer Henry de Bromhead.

2024 Long Distance Novice Chase Tips

The Long Distance Novice Chase is going to be an entertaining encounter over three miles, half a furlong, with Leopardstown Racecourse hosting a race which has Grade 1 status. Impaire Et Passe has produced the goods on several occasions and could be a warm order for this Irish contest, with Willie Mullins having high hopes for his charge.

The six-year-old was recently successful at Fairyhouse at the end of November, with this being a facile win over two miles, five and a half furlongs. Previously to this was another win in the Select Hurdle at Sandown over the same distance. There was a success in the Aintree Hurdle at Aintree back in April which means he’s the one to beat.

Croke Park has been able to land back-to-back successes this season, with Gordon Elliott training a runner who was last seen scoring at Fairyhouse at the beginning of December. Sent off at odds of 22/1, the runner was able to succeed in the Drinmore Novice Chase and this came after a straightforward win in a Beginners Chase at the same course.

Better Days Ahead is another Gordon Elliott-trained charge with bags of ability and there could be a strong showing from this six-year-old. There was a success at Navan back in November when Slade Steel was beaten by four lengths, with the horse also able to win at the previous Cheltenham Festival when scoring in the Martin Pipe.
