2025 BetVictor 'National Hunt' Mares' Novices' Hurdle Tips
Jasmine Bliss is bidding for a consecutive hat-trick of victories, with the six-year-old having scored victories at Ludlow and Southwell. The first of these wins was on 5 February, with the 11/10 favourite obliging by nearly three lengths. Then came a triumph by eleven lengths and there’s plenty to like about a mare who is now carrying top weight for this race.
Siog Geal was second last time out, with the Fergal O’Brien-trained charge able to perform well at Market Rasen. This came after a mid-table finish at Windsor in January, with the horse previously successful at Catterick in December. There was also a smart showing at Cheltenham last autumn and perhaps the horse will return to form here.
Rockstown Girl runs for Anthony McCann and the seven-year-old was seventh out of ten runners at Punchestown last time out. This came after falling at Cheltenham although there was a notable win at Chepstow last autumn and perhaps the horse will come back to the fore here. This horse could end up being a good each-way selection.
Clotilda is probably the most interesting contender, with Paul Nicholls having a promising horse who was last seen running at Ffos Las last time out. The horse struggled with the heavy going on that occasion, with the mare only able to finish fourth out of nine runners at Taunton despite being sent off at odds of 6/4.

El Elefante is the market leader for the British EBF BetVictor "National Hunt" Mares' Novices' Hurdle and it’s hardly a surprise considering that the six-year-old won at Ayr Racecourse on her last outing. This was the third success of the season for the talented mare, with the 2/7 favourite able to oblige over two miles, four and a half furlongs.
That success came after finishing dead last in a Supreme Trial at Doncaster out of five runners, although it was a high quality field on that occasion. Previously to this was a fourth-placed finish out of nine runners at Haydock Park Racecourse although some might think that Party Vibes represents a better runner.
Henry Daly trains a runner who has enjoyed back to back victories and the six-year-old could be an each-way bet to nothing. The latest success came at Market Rasen back in February, with this being a five and a half length success, with that victory coming after a Boxing Day success at Wincanton Racecourse.
Smiling Getaway is trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and the seven-year-old has landed a couple of wins this term, with Larchmont Lass having been successful on her last outing. There could be a big field lining up for an encounter on good to soft ground, with Ooh Betty and Kay Tara Tara the other runners with a lively chance.
