2025 All-Weather Sprint Handicap Tips
Diligent Harry looks like a decent contender when it comes to the All-Weather Sprint Handicap, with Clive Cox saddling a horse who is bidding to build on a third-placed finish at Southwell in early April. He was only a length and a half off the pace on that occasion, although a lack of recent victory might persuade punters to look elsewhere.
Marshman is a five-year-old with bags of ability, with Karl Burke’s charge having landed consecutive wins earlier in the year. Sent off as the 3/1 favourite at Newcastle on the all-weather in January, there was a stunning win. This came after a victory at Lingfield before finishing third in the Cammidge Trophy Stakes at Doncaster.
Fivethousandtoone has the prospect of going well for trainer Tim Easterby, with the seven-year-old having finished fourth out of eleven runners at Southwell last time out. This came after an identical finish at the same track previously, although there hasn’t been a notable recent win and perhaps there is more value out there.
Heathcliff and We Never Stop are younger adversaries who can make an impression. The two four-year-olds are trading at a similar price and the former was a winner at Kempton at the beginning of November. He ran pretty well to finish fourth out of fourteen runners at Newcastle in January, finishing narrowly behind Marshman.
2024 All-Weather Sprint Handicap Tips
The All-Weather Sprint Handicap looks like an intriguing encounter and it could be favourite Cover Up who is able to record a victory. The four-year-old is bidding to secure a fourth successive victory and the latest of these came on the all-weather at Newcastle on 22 February, with the runner obliging as the odds-on favourite.
A few days previously, the horse was able to oblige in a twelve-runner race at the same track and that came after a win at Lingfield Park at the beginning of November. Should you think that Cover Up can continue this winning trend, then he’s a backable each-way price and the Godolphin horse has plenty to recommend him.
Batal Dubai has been backed ahead of the race and the Clifford Lee-ridden runner was third at Lingfield on his last appearance. Sent off as the 7/4 favourite in a Sprint Trial Handicap, the charge was narrowly edged out over six furlongs. This came after a second-placed finish out of six runners at Kempton.
In his preceding race, the horse was third out of thirteen in a race at Newcastle which was won by Albasheer. The Archie Watson-trained runner has secured back to back victories coming into this race and the latest of these came on the all-weather earlier this month when obliging as the 2/1 favourite at Newcastle.
2023 All-Weather Sprint Championships Betting Tips
The 2023 All-Weather Sprint Championships is packed with quality horses and it will be interesting to see how the front two in the betting perform against each other once again. Annaf and Diligent Harry were separated by the smallest of margins when they last met, with the former able to score by a neck in a recent encounter at Lingfield Park.
That was over six furlongs and this is another race over the same distance. It will be interesting to see whether the Clive Cox-trained charge is able to frank the form, with the five-year-old previously winning at Newcastle all-weather in mid-February and that was an impressive win, although this is far from a two-horse encounter.
Vadream could be coming to the boil at the right time, with Charlie Fellowes having seen his horse progressively improve and the victory at Doncaster Racecourse on 1 April with a victory of four and a half lengths occurring. Kieran Shoemark was on board that time although he’s jumping off the horse to ride Diligent Harry.
Summerghand needs to find some improvement if he’s to oblige with a victory on the all-weather championships day, with Daniel Tudhope on board a runner who was last seen racing in Doha in the middle of February. However, there was little over a length separating this horse compared to Annaf and perhaps there is more value in backing the bigger-priced runner.
