2025 National Hunt Flat Race Tips
The going is set to be good and we’re expecting a fast-run race in the Goffs Nickel Coin Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race, with the runners and riders battling it out over two miles and one furlong. There are no obstacles and Seo Linn has solid credentials, with the five-year-old having landed a victory at Cheltenham in November.
Previously to this, there was a fourth-placed finish at Gowran Park, with that coming in a field of thirteen runners. There was a success back in August at Ballinrobe, with the bookies regarded as the strongest contender. Charisma Cat is trained by Alan King and has a solid strike rate so far, with three wins from four encounters.
There was a win at Sandown Park in March, with the 7/4 favourite obliging over two miles and the horse was previously second out of ten runners at Market Rasen in January. Back in November, there was a success at Warwick and that was preceded by a victory at Southwell. However, Jackie Hobbs is also definitely one for the shortlist.
The Harry Derham-trained charge has been able to rack up successive wins this term, with the latest success coming at Ascot in mid-February. That came after a fine performance at Ludlow in early December, with Strong Run a year older than his adversaries and there was a success at Warwick in early February.
2024 Mares' National Hunt Flat Race Tips
The Mares' Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race is the final encounter on Day One of the Aintree meeting, with Baby Kate and Honky Tonk Highway emerging as the market leaders for this encounter. The former is trained by Willie Mullins and will be looking to secure a third consecutive victory after some smart previous showings.
There was a victory at Cheltenham back in November where the horse was able to fend off fourteen rivals to claim a triumph in an open National Hunt race. However, some might prefer the chances of Honky Tonk Highway and the runner was victorious at Sandown last month when beating ten rivals.
Sent off as the 3/1 favourite, the horse was able to oblige in a National Hunt Flat race over two miles on soft ground, although each-way backers might be looking elsewhere when it comes to this final race on Day One of the Grand National Festival. Jubilee Alpha is available at a bigger each-way price and could go well for Paul Nicholls.
The five-year-old has only run once and that resulted in a victory, with Harry Cobden on board a runner who was able to beat thirteen other rivals at Wincanton to deliver the goods. Diva Luna could be another one for the shortlist and this charge runs for Ben Pauling and looks to have solid each-way claims.
