2024 Doomben 10000 Tips
I Wish I Win looks like the horse to beat when it comes to the Doomben 10,000, with the five-year-old having produced some impressive showings to date. There was a third-placed finish out of thirteen runners at Randwick in early April, with the horse narrowly being pipped by winner Chain Of Lightning on that occasion.
The Peter G Moody and Katherine Coleman-trained runner was also second in the TAB Everest, with the horse being narrowly defeated by half a length when losing to favourite Think About It. There was also a third-placed finish in the Memsie Stakes when the horse ran well over seven furlongs in this Group One encounter.
The horse’s last success came on 1 April 2023 when obliging in the Furphy T J Smith Stakes, with Private Eye coming next in the betting market and there has been plenty to like about this horse’s performances thus far. There was a third-placed finish in the All Aged Stakes at Randwick over seven furlongs on heavy ground.
Chris Waller trains Espiona and the five-year-old certainly can’t be disregarded, with the horse able to secure seventh place in a competitive All Aged Stakes, while this came after finishing sixth in the T J Smith Stakes at Randwick. Previously to this, the runner was able to bag third in the James Squire Canterbury Stakes.
