2024 Ladbrokes Novice Chase Tips
Grangeclare West has posted back-to-back wins this season and the horse takes pride of place at the head of the betting market for the Ladbrokes Novice Chase. Willie Mullins saddles an eight-year-old who won over two miles and four furlongs at Naas on 12 November, with that victory being achieved by nearly three lengths.
Following on from this, there was a Novice Chase triumph over three miles, half a furlong, with Paul Townend steering the charge to a success over six lengths. Beating the 13/8 favourite Corbetts Cross into second place was no mean feat, with Fact To File potentially the horse to give him the most to think about.
The seven-year-old also hails from the Mullins stable and was able to achieve a massive victory over Zanahiyr at Leopardstown Racecourse over the festive season, with this coming after finishing second to American Mike at Navan. That was over two miles and four furlongs on heavy ground, with the horse finishing second in the Bumper at Cheltenham.
Gaelic Warrior is also entered into the race and the six-year-old has clocked up a couple of his own victories, with wins at Punchestown and Limerick occurring this season. The first of these was a fifteen-length triumph in a Beginners Chase, with the horse then winning the Faugheen Novice Chase at Limerick when winning by five and a half lengths.
2023 Ladbrokes Novices Chase Betting Tips
Mighty Potter was pulled up in last year’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, with the horse having been a strong fancy at 15/2 when lining up in the 2022 Cheltenham Festival. However, the charge has bounced back to secure three consecutive victories and the first one of these occurred at the Punchestown Festival when producing a stunning performance at 20/1 to win the Bective Stud Champion Novice Hurdle.
This was followed by a triumph in a Beginners Chase at Down Royal, with the horse then landing another success in the Bar One Racing Drinmore Novice Chase. This was a respectable win considering the calibre of the horse that was lining up in this Grade One encounter over two miles and four furlongs. He looks the horse to beat.
However, Appreciate It has secured back to back successes and it might be that Willie Mullins chooses to go down this route. The horse has enjoyed some notable victories and the nine-year-old is likely to run in this encounter according to the bookmaker odds. The horse has been late to chasing but took to big obstacles well earlier this season.
James Du Berlais was able to come out on top in the McInerney Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse, with Willie Mullins potentially getting the winner through this horse and there was a respectable runner-up spot behind Klassical Dream in the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle.
