2026 Greenham Stakes Betting Tips
The majority of the dozen runners lining up in the Watership Down Stud Too Darn Hot Greenham Stakes have a realistic chance of landing a victory. Zavateri's winning run started back in June at Salisbury, with that coming before an 18/1 success at Newmarket. There was plenty to like about that success in the Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes against some quality horses.
Then came a further victory in the Coral Vintage Stakes, with the Eve Johnson Houghton-trained charge kicking on to claim the spoils in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes. This was achieved in Group One company, with odds-on favourite Gstaad beaten into second. There was more recently a fourth-placed effort in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes.
Title Role has claimed back to back victories, with Simon & Ed Crisford saddling a horse who has done all his recent winning at Meydan. The 5/4 favourite was able to oblige in a Guineas Trial over a mile and was then able to kick on with another success at the same track. The horse was a victor in the Jumeirah 2000 Guineas.
Time To Turn has enjoyed some notable successes this season, with a victory coming at Newbury in October. Sent off as the 7/4 favourite in the Horris Hill Stakes, the horse was able to score in a Group 3 encounter over seven furlongs. This came after a disappointing effort at Longchamp after previously winning at Ascot in July.

Chancellor is our idea of the winner when it comes to the Greenham Stakes. John & Thady Gosden train a three-year-old who was able to score at Doncaster last time out. That was in a novice stakes after a disappointing performance in the Pat Eddery Stakes. However, the horse began with a victory at Doncaster and there could be more to come here.
Field Of Gold has plenty of experience for a three-year-old and this comes from the same stable as Chancellor. Last time out, there was a fourth-placed finish out of nine runners. That was at Longchamp in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere and there was plenty to like about a solid showing over seven furlongs on soft ground.
Rashabar has a definite chance and hasn’t been out of the first two in the past four outings. Last time out was a super runner-up performance at Longchamp in early October and there was lots to like about an outing at Deauville over six furlongs back in August. The real coup de gras came in the Coventry Stakes when obliging at monster odds of 80/1.
Al Qudra was successful in his last outing when landing the spoils at Al Uqda. There was a fine success in the far east and came after finishing second out of ten runners at Meydan. In the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf, there was a lowly finish but this was a competitive outing and there was lots to like about a runner-up effort at Woodbine.

Zoum Zoum might not have the highest rating in this field, although the horse has been respected by the bookmakers for this seven furlong encounter. Ralph Beckett will have high hopes for a runner who boasts a 100% record coming into this clash. The most recent success came at Saint-Cloud where seven other runners were beaten.
Previously to this came a win at Newmarket, with twelve other horses beaten in early November and this came after a debut victory at Kempton on the all-weather. It’s easy to see why the bookies have installed the charge as favourite, although some might argue that God’s Window is a better value proposition.
John & Thady Gosden saddles a horse who ran twice last season, with the runner claiming a victory at Doncaster back in September before finishing third in a more competitive race at the same track a month later. However, this was a Group 1 encounter over one mile on heavy ground, with favourite Ancient Wisdom proving too strong.
Native Approach could be the best of the rest and the three-year-old had some smart form last season, with the horse last seen triumphing on the all-weather at Kempton Racecourse. Henry Adams goes for Aidan O’Brien and was underwhelming at Meydan in March, although there were better performances at Longchamp and Newbury.

Chaldean takes up a big chunk of the betting market when it comes to the Greenham Stakes. Andrew Balding will be confident of a success at Newbury with a talented three-year-old who was impressive on a number of occasions last year. The latest strong performance came in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes where the horse won narrowly over seven furlongs.
Previously to this, there were wins at Doncaster, York and Newbury, with a win in the Coral Champagne Stakes when it came to the former before obliging in the Tattersalls Acomb Stakes. There was a Novice Stakes triumph at Newbury and there is sure to be plenty of money coming for what is regarded as banker material for this contest.
Noble Style can’t be easily ignored and there have been three straight wins for this runner in a blossoming career to date. The Godolphin horse certainly has claimed based on a victory in the Gimcrack Stakes, with this being over six furlongs and there were some good horses beaten on that occasion including Marshman.
Knight runs for Simon & Ed Crisford and there was a win at Yarmouth before following this up with another victory at Newbury back in October. Sent off at 10/1 on heavy ground, the horse was able to outrun his odds and deliver a two-length win which means that he certainly has the ability to make the frame when it comes to this encounter.
