Streisand is the notable favourite to win the Percy Sykes Stakes, with the horse recently seen finishing second at Rosehill. The filly ran a blinder in the TAB Golden Slipper when running home behind Guest House over six furlongs. That came after successive wins at Caulfield, with a double February triumph coming at odds of 2/1 and 10/1.
The former win came in the Sportsbet Blue Diamond Prelude which was a Group Two encounter and that was over five and a half furlongs. In a bigger field, there was a Blue Diamond Stakes success over six furlongs. This 10/1 win explains why the bookies are expecting a big race from the filly and we can see her finishing on top.
Satono Glow is a less raced horse who has landed a couple of victories. At Warwick Farm on 11 March, the runner won a maiden handicap over five furlongs on soft ground. There was then a solid Breeders Cup effort at Flemington. That was a three-length triumph although this is now a bigger step up in order to land a bigger prize.
Medicinal ran behind Streisand at Caulfield in early February when losing by three and a half lengths to the winner, although there have since been successive wins which means an each-way wager could be a good option. There was a February win at Ballarat over five and a half furlongs and that was followed by a March success in the Ottawa Stakes at Flemington.
