2024 Clipper Handicap Tips
Elnajmm hasn’t put a foot wrong this season and could be an each-way bet to nothing for the Clipper Handicap. William Haggas trains a horse who has landed two victories this term, with the latest success coming at Ascot at the end of July. Eleven other runners were fended off as the charge was able to win by one and a half lengths.
Previously to this came a success on the all-weather at Newcastle and the William Haggas-trained runner is bidding for a fourth consecutive win, with Godwinson coming from the same stable. The four-year-old was fourth last time out when running well at the Knavesmire in a field of seventeen runners, with this coming after a disappointing showing at Newbury.
New Image was second last time out and David O’Meara’s runner could go one better this time around, with a runner-up spot being recorded at Ascot out of eighteen horses. The horse was previously third out of seventeen at the Knavesmire and could be a decent each-way bet, with the runner having won at Musselburgh in early June.
Germanic was second last time out and the three-year-old has the credentials to go close this time around, finishing runner-up at Thirsk after a victory on the all-weather at Newcastle. Holloway Boy has the chance to go close for Karl Burke, although Elnajmm still looks like the one to beat.
2023 Clipper Handicap Tips
Lattam runs for William Haggas and the four-year-old was underwhelming when finishing well down the order last time out. The horse was fifteenth out of twenty runners in the Coral Golden Mile at Goodwood over one mile, although perhaps the runner will benefit from firmer ground at the Knavesmire. There was previously a 9/4 favourite win at Newcastle.
Perotto has only won one of four outings this season and runs for Roger Varian, with the horse finishing seventh in the Golden Mile and that came after a victory at Sandown Park. In the Coral Challenge over a mile, Tom Marquand gave the runner a tremendous spin and there was a tenth-placed finish out of thirty runners in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot.
Awaal is yet to be in the winners’ enclosure this season although Simon & Ed Crisford’s charge has been running in competitive races. Fourteenth in the Coral Golden Mile saw the runner finish marginally ahead of Lattam and that came after a third-placed finish in the bet365 Bunbury Cup when sent off as the 7/2 favourite.
Blue For You has a victory to his name this season and that came at York when winning the John Smith’s Racing Handicap. This was a fairly striking victory when obliging by three lengths, with the Coral Golden Mile seeing the runner finish in tenth place. We’re basically talking about a number of similar runners and it’s finding the best each-way chance.
2022 Clipper Logistics Handicap Tips
There are going to be some fantastic horse racing enhanced odds available for the Clipper Logistics Handicap, with many punters looking to bet each-way and get extra places with their favourite bookmaker. You can often back a number of runners and still make a profit on this horse race.
Jimi Hendrix is the betting favourite with some horse racing bookmakers, with the runner likely to be off less weight than most of the other contenders in the race. Ralph Beckett has seen his horse win twice this season, with the runner recently winning the bet365 Mile Handicap.
Previously to this, the runner outran his odds when finishing the 20/1 third in the Britannia Stakes, with the horse having recently won the Betfred.com Sankey Handicap. Saga was able to finish ahead of this horse at Royal Ascot and perhaps this runner could be worth an each-way bet after finishing second to Thesis.
Saga was previously underwhelming when finishing sixth in a race at Ascot, with Shining Blue having collected three straight wins and deserving to take his place as one of the betting favourites. The latest of these came on the all-weather at Newcastle Racecourse although there will be a step up in class here.
