There are plenty of horses trading at single figure odds to win the Doonside Cup Stakes, with a maximum of fourteen runners set to line up at Ayr Racecourse. Botanical has been running well this season, with the four-year-old looking like a tough one to beat, while Enfjaar has landed two victories this term and also has to be respected.

Persica has been in the winners’ enclosure on more than one occasion this term, with Phantom Flight also having hit the frame on a regular basis this season. There are sure to be price boosts available for a race which is set to be run at a fast-run pace, with the going set to be good at Ayr Racecourse this weekend.

2024 Doonside Cup Stakes Tips

Botanical was second in his last outing and the George Boughey-trained runner has been respected by the market when it comes to the Doonside Cup Stakes, with the four-year-old having won a sixteen-runner race at York before falling flat at Royal Ascot. However, the runner returned with a bang to finish second out of twenty runners at York.

Enfjaar started the season with consecutive victories, with the four-year-old trained by Roger Varian and the first of these wins came on the all-weather at Chelmsford before a superb victory at York when edging Botanical into second place. There was then a second-placed finish at Goodwood in the Chesterfield Cup Handicap.

Persica has been a winner on two occasions this season, with the three-year-old having one of the highest ratings in the field. Richard Hannon saddles a horse that finished third at Windsor last time out, with this coming after a victory at Sandown Park in early July. There was also a stunning win at Epsom over one mile and two furlongs.

Phantom Flight has been in the first three places on three occasions this term, with George Scott training a five-year-old who has more experience than several of the other counterparts, with a victory coming at Newbury and he was also strong when finishing second out of nine runners at York.
