Dee Stakes Results at Chester — 07 May 2026

Thursday, 07 May 2026

The Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes is run over one mile, two and a half furlongs on Thursday. Constitution River is the Aidan O'Brien-trained horse with the strongest chance according to the Chester racing betting sites. The runner could build on some juvenile success last term, although there are other viable contenders in the race.

Stablemate Flushing Meadows could build on a seasonal debut where he finished in eighth place, with O'Brien also having Italy and Straight Up in the line-up. However, Morshdi has the potential to conquer the field for William Haggas and is currently trading as second favourite. Al Zanati could also deliver for trainer Charlie Appleby.

2026 Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes Betting Tips

Constitution River is sure to be a warm order for the Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes, with Aidan O'Brien-trained charge having landed some notable wins already. It all started when running brightly to finish second in the July meeting at Newmarket, with the horse chasing home odds-on favourite Distant Storm before landing two consecutive Irish successes.

Sent off as overwhelming favourite at Galway, it came as no surprise to find the horse was able to score over seven furlongs on yielding ground. A month later and there was lots to like about the performance of the horse over the same distance at the Curragh. The odds-on market leader was able to score in the Futurity Stakes over seven furlongs.

Flushing Meadows is another O'Brien-trained runner who stands a chance, with many bettors likely to get on this horse from an each-way point-of-view. The horse might come on from an eighth-placed finish in the Red Rock Stakes at Leopardstown, with a success at the Curragh being recorded in June before further impressive performances.

Morshdi has claimed a victory in successive races and William Haggas will hope to achieve another when the horse lines up here. An April success at Newmarket involved travelling well over a mile and a furlong at odds of 14/1, with this success following a victory at York where the stiff mile at the Knavesmire for this talented charge.

2025 Dee Stakes Betting Tips

Aidan O’Brien is likely to rack up a number of winners at Chester this week and a victory might come in the Dee Stakes. The Irish handler has a couple of lively contenders in a race over one mile, two and a half furlongs. Acapulco Bay looks a fine contender and he was second last time out, with this horse running well at Naas this season.

The horse was two lengths off the pace over one mile, with that coming after a victory at the Curragh last August. However, Mount Kilimanjaro is a stablemate who is also trading at a similar price despite underwhelming last time out. Sent off as the 1/4 favourite, the runner could only manage third out of five places.

Previously to this, there was a smart performance at Saint-Cloud back in October. The horse performed well over a mile and this came after a victory at Longchamp in the beginning of the same month. A repeat of that performance in the Arqana Series - Haras de Bouquetot Criterium d'Automne could see the horse prosper here.

If Convergent lines up here, then it’s a horse we have to take seriously. Karl Burke saddles a three-year-old who is ridden by Sam James. There was a double success at Redcar, with these victories coming in October and then more recently in April. High Stock was impressive at Newmarket when fending off fourteen other runners.

2024 Dee Stakes Tips

The going is set to be good at Chester Racecourse for the Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes, with this listed race set to take place over one mile, two and a half furlongs. God’s Window runs for John & Thady Gosden and the three-year-old was last seen beating two other contenders at Nottingham Racecourse when triumphing by eight lengths.

Previously to this, the horse finished third out of seven runners at Doncaster Racecourse and this came after a triumph at the same track, with the next best contender potentially being Jayarebe who was also successful last time out. The three-year-old runs for Brian Meehan and came good at Newmarket back in April.

Sent off as an 11/1 chance in the bet365 Feilden Stakes, the horse was able to secure a win by over three lengths in a one mile, one furlong encounter. This came after a solid enough outing in the Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere over seven furlongs, with Sean Levey now on board a runner who is priced similarly to Bracken’s Laugh.

Richard Hughes trains a runner who was victorious last time out, with Finley Marsh on board a horse who was successful on the all-weather at Chelmsford in early April. The three-year-old started his career when landing a Newbury success before running in a more competitive heat at Saint-Cloud.
