Pacific Mission has the highest rating when it comes to the Oh So Sharp Stakes. This is a seven furlong race and the distance could suit the favourite. Classic Cuvee goes for Roger Varian, with the last run being at Doncaster in September. The two-year-old was able to win by a neck on that occasion, with that coming after outrunning her odds on a debut. Sent off at odds of 20/1, the horse was only three lengths off the pace in a maiden fillies stakes at Newmarket on the July course.

Calendar Girl has produced some smart performances this term. Owen Burrows saddles a two-year-old who obliged with a victory at Doncaster in her last race. She was able to fend off twenty other fillies when winning the £300,000 2-Y-O Stakes. This came after falling short when finishing second at Epsom over seven furlongs.

Moments Of Joy has run three times this season and has performed well on every occasion. Aidan O’Brien saddles a horse who began her campaign with a victory at Leopardstown in early June. Then came a third-placed finish out of nine runners in the Chesham Stakes and she also performed well at the Curragh over a mile.

Dance Sequence was impressive in her first and only outing of the season, although it remains to be seen whether she can follow this up in the Oh So Sharp Stakes. The two-year-old beat five other runners at Newmarket at the beginning of July when winning a Maiden Fillies’ Stakes although this is altogether a different assignment against tougher opponents.

They include Skellet who is trained by Ralph Beckett and there was a recent win at Salisbury where eight other runners were beaten over seven furlongs. After a month away from the track, the horse should be nicely primed here.

Chic Colombine has scored victories in four successive races, the latest of which came at Goodwood Racecourse. That was in a two-year-old fillies’ series final where the horse was able to get up over seven furlongs on soft ground.
